Highlighting its incredible range of retailers, with everything from inspirational catwalks from Debenhams, H&M, Marks & Spencer and House of Fraser and many more, trendy styling workshops, and an exclusive fashion lounge with personal stylists and photo shoots, Yas Mall’s Modest Fashion Weekend had all the key pieces women need to embrace this timeless trend, proving that you can cover up and be super stylish!
This conservative fashion trend is taking the industry by storm. As the name suggests, modest-wear is clothing that covers but still brings an individual’s personality to life. Today, more and more global fashion houses, such as DKNY, Tommy Hilfiger and Zara, have brought longer hemlines and sleeves to their collections.
Yas Mall’s strong fashion portfolio, with over 370 outlets, makes it the perfect creator of a modest fashion event, as the weekend included new conservative collections of Yas Mall’s diverse range of retailers.
For the Modest Fashion Weekend, Yas Mall partnered with ITP Publishing enabling the most fashion-forward editors from Grazia Middle East and Ahlan! Arabic to curate breath-taking catwalk shows from Yas Mall fashion brands. The fashion shows will celebrate the beauty of concealing clothing and inspire women to try new styles from participating retailers including Debenhams, H&M, Marks & Spencer and House of Fraser.
For those looking to update their style, experienced stylists at Grazia’s Style Shop were on-hand to arm them with a shopping list and details of which stores to visit. Once they have chosen their new looks, The Cosmopolitan Beauty Bar, decked with beauty experts, helped ladies look their best with life-changing make-overs, sophisticated hair-styling, and modest manicures.
Yas Mall also collaborated with Ahlan! Arabic to offer a professional photo studio, complete with a talented photographer, so that each guest could become a front cover star, receiving the personalized copy of the magazine as a take-away gift.
As a 360-well-being event, the Modest Fashion Weekend featured the UAE’s first water-only bar, H20 Eau Lounge, stocked with a selection of complimentary water, in partnership with Women’s Health Middle East.
